Help with array along path...

Thought it would be simple, I wanted to array the top oval object 8 times along the line. But when I choose the path curve/line, and I get the bottom result with the ovals extending beyond the line, what am I missing?

You can override how many items show from the ribbon or properties.

Use array rectangular instead, then it is easy enough to adjust to show how you would like.  I think the ARRAYPATH is doing what it is suppose to do, it just isn't what you wanted.

Hi,

you can get better result if you change the distance between items ( item spacing ) from Array ribbon contextual tab ( see below image) it will automatically appear up there after selecting your array sample.

It is working properly.

You need to adjust the length of your line and the insert point for the oval (see below for original and adjusted).
