Greetings Autocad users,

I'm pretty new using this software and i'm having difficulties with the basic tools.

I'm trying to move a 2D (photo below) undert his 3D.

The problem is  when i move the 2d (and try to attach on the corner) he got attach at the corner of the 3D model and then start to "float".

(2D floating here, need to bee at 0 high)

there is any solution for this?

I would like to move 2D, snapping at the 3D but he need to be at the floor level.

Ty again for any helps.

It's a little hard to see where you are having trouble.

From the sounds of it your snaps are putting you in the wrong place. I think probably what would get you where you want you could use point filters but those can be a little tricky to understand. Below is a link to using point filters in 2D. You add the other dimension to use them in 3D.

Read in Help about the OSNAPZ System Variable.

Hi,

You may need to know about 3DMOVE (Command).

Basically when i move my 2D drawing need to be snapped here (pic below).

I'm trying to set everything up, but still when I move in 2D it snaps to the 3D vertices.

It seems like I only need to move on the Y and X axis and set the software not to move Y, is there a way to do this?

ty again.

Assuming from your other descriptions that you mean "not to move Z," see my earlier reply.  OSNAPZ is for exactly this purpose.  Have you investigated it yet?

I've alredy try to flag and move using different combination.

But still idk how to make it work properly.

That's the ordinary OSNAP [without the Z] dialog box.  Make sure you're getting all the way to the Z at the end of OSNAPZ, and you should get a prompt at the command line.  Read about it in Help to understand what setting you should use.
