Hi,

Please help me with my problem regarding AutoCAD that cannot proceed with the installation. It says, "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

I have already tried several methods that I researched on the internet, like the following, but none work.
1. Checking for a known registry problem, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > SideBySide > Winners > x86_policy.9.0.microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_none_02d0010672fd8219 > 9.0

2. Installing the Visual C++ Runtimes on HERE

3. Tracking Down What Version of Visual C++ Runtime is Missing by searching on event viewer.

4. Running a System File Checker using

  • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  • sfc /scannow

5. Restoring to the original state
6. PC Reset

Note that my computer system is new, and I'm trying to install AutoCAD with different versions: v2014 to v2022, but all versions cannot proceed with the installation. My PC also meets the minimum requirement of AutoCAD in all versions.

Please help me if you have any alternative methods. Thank you for your advance response.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
