Having trouble with offset

I am having a problem with offset where when I put in the exact length I need a line to be and hit enter I get a red box and nothing happens.  I've had three people who know this software better than I do, including my instructor, try to help me fix it and I've had no luck but they all say its not supposed to do that.  I've tried reinstalling, different versions, nothing is working please help...

It has to do with Dynamic input, not offset.

Hi,

I suggest to press  F12 to turn OFF Dynamic Input ... any changes now ?
