Hatch error

Hi,

Every time I try to hatch somenthing, appears to me de following message:

"FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Acess Violation Reading 0x005c Exception at de55c656h"

After that error All my activities are closed by AutoCAD, and I lose all work that I'd been doing.

Could you please help me to solve this problem ?

Thank you so much !

Hi,

Some questions:

  • have you verified with command _AUDIT that the drawing is ok?
  • which version of AutoCAD (and which update/service pack)?
  • which contour (uploading a drawing with that shape would help)
  • which hatch pattern and scaling?

My suggestion would be to use "select object" instead of "pick internal points" while hatching.

Most of the time the AutoCAD crashes while hatching using "pick internal points" because the boundary to be hatched will not be closed(or fails to recognize the part to hatched)  and if the drawing being complex and using a complex hatch pattern the AutoCAD would throw up an error and crash.

In that case I would suggest you to reset setting to default.

Here is how you can do that:Click here
