Ground Shadows render in modelspace and paperspace, but dont print

Hi.

I am carrying out a shade study - shade cast by trees. I have turned on the sun, set location, date and time. Turned on ground shadows. I've tried various Visual Styles and wih the Environment turned on with IBL lighting or a Custom Background, and the Environment off. However, even when the shadows are visible in modelspace and paperspace, they do not appear when printed. The relevant layer is printable.  generally print to PDF, but changing the printer makes no difference.

I have also seen an known issue with shadows not rendering to IBL, but that does not appear to be the issue here - even when I created a planar surface to represent the ground, and could see the shadows in paper/modelspace, they still did not print.

Can anyone suggest why this is not working.

Thanks

@oisinCQUBU ,

Post the drawing/attachments (and version) and a PDF of what you see vs what you get.

Also a snip image of the AutoCAD plot setting.

Hi,

when I want a rendered image with shadows in a viewport to be plotted I would set the viewport property "Shade Plot" to "rendered" ... do you then get your shadow?

I know this needs more performance, but in case shadows are needed I guess higher quality is it worth to invest performance.

Thanks for this.

I actually had Viewport_Properties_Shade plot ="Shaded". Switching it to "As displayed" worked for me.

Thanks again
