Grabbing a drawing

Hello all. I recently upgraded from AutoCAD LT 2012 to AutoCAD LT 2017...there are obviously some changes! In my old version I was able to "grab" what I was drawing and move it around the model space. I am not able to do this in the 2017 version...the cursor creates a window...not what I want. Anyone have a solution? Thanks.

your question some how obscure and not clear enough ... BUT i guess -if i understand you- try tp press (F8) .

Grab means what to the rest of us way over here? Show us a video or use actual AutoCAD terminology if possible.

If the cursor is creating a window you must be holding down the mouse button. Could you try selecting the object via the move tool to move it?
