Glass effect in 3D to 2D layout conversion

Hi,

I drew a drawing of a TV cabinet in Autocad3D which is having two glass shelves. But when I try to project this in layout for printing in front elevation and side elevation, glass shelf is not visible as glass effect. It looks solid wood like rest of the TV cabinet. Can you please let me know how to change the view or fix this. I had already tried different view settings. But no help.

Thanks.

It's not clear how realistic of an image you want to create.  If you just want a line drawing and want the solid object that defines the glass shelf appear to be transparent you could explode it twice yielding the lines that represent the shelf edges.  If you plan to use the rendering features of AutoCAD you can apply a glass material to the shelf and then render.
