flat shot not showing all edges

When taking a flat shot of my 3d model, many of the edges do not show up in the 2d image that is created.  All the lines that do not appear are vertical. Is this a bug, or is there a setting that can fix this.  Most of the edges are sections of a curved surface. attached is a screen image.

Hello @BKELLEY70

Thanks for posting.

This is likely due to the fact that they are out of view in "Top" view, because as you mentioned they are vertical. The edges of all 3D solids, surfaces, and meshes are projected in that line-of-sight & set view.

You can try to make these adjustments:

  • The Flatshoot command creates a 2D representation of 3D objects based on the current view so try a different one from the 3d Modeling > command VisualStyles drop down
  • Change the color for the vertical members to make them easier to see
  • Make sure these members do not have any Transparency applied
  • Edit the block that was created from Flatshot to make additional changes adding these vertical member manually
