At first I was skeptic about this so I search other solutions and keywords to google for an hour! I have tried resetting the laptop and reinstalling the software doesn't resolve the issue either. Then going to your question and your solution again and applying it is a life saver. 😄 Yes, disabling and setting to 'No' the touchpad delay fix this issue that: "Whenever a command is active, selecting the first point will be not recognized thus you need to click another one to be able to select or drag."
