Hi,
Is it possible to see all opened files in File tab and all Layout in Layout tab, currently I can see only 6-8 file tabs other is hiding in pull down arrow. in other software like Bluebeam it will auto adjust tab size asper number of files. is there is any trick for it?

Perhaps qvdrawing reduces your pain?

No. No adjustments can be done.

But with FILETABPREVIEW = 0 you can see Model + 25 Layouts... when hover on filetab. Then comes an arrow again... 😞 no matter how tall monitor you have.

Hi,

>> just want more tab over there

I don't know any option to get more tabs there, but even if you would get more tabs you would not be able to see the filename any more and so you can't decide which one you want to select/activate then.

If you want to have many documents selectable you can do that in the Windows task bar, activating AutoCAD sysvar TASKBAR brings you that option:

Shorter file names would get you what you want.
Spanning AutoCAD over two or three screens might get you what you want as well.

What other apps do has no bearing on what AutoCAD does.

Thank you all for your suggestions. 🙂

Spanning some how helped me, I never try that one.

Only issue is, I need a wide screen monitor 😞

Yes, as simple as it is. And speaking of simple solutions, you know that you can right-click on a Layout tab and hit "Dock above Status Bar"...

Hmm, but we're talking about the number of file tabs (they are always above) and not about the layout tabs.

Yes, you are. I'm not. The question was regarding both...

You can check in the app store to see if there a tool for this. I don't think I saw one to add more tabs but I think there is one that puts file tabs on a palette so you can scroll through them easier. That would help with long file names as you can make the palette wider but since it can be auto-hide it won't take up more screen.
