File sharing with team

I am curious what people are using to share Autocad files with remote users.  I would like a remote user to be able to open an Autocad file saved on my computer.  Then that remote user makes changes and saves the drawing.  How is the saved file transferred back to my computer?  

I am using OneDrive for Microsoft files and it works well, but I need an option for .dwg files.

Are you looking for them to just view the dwg or use some form of file sharing site to open from and work on the file?

The best option would be to look at BIM 360 Docs as Autodesk have developed this to work with many file formats and dwg is one of them. You can save from AutoCAD into your cloud projects and others can view them without needing AutoCAD and/or can download them and work on the file. 

Another option is using AutoCAD web or mobile as you can again share the file directly from your computer to the cloud where they can see the file. This also links to other storage provides such as Dropbox, Onedrive, Googledrive, box and even BIM 360. You can share the files as View only or Edit and save a copy.  I personally used this to help when going onsite undertaking some site surveys to check drawings where correct. It worked great.

I would like the remote user to be able to edit and save back to the original file location.  I have used the web and mobile from Autodesk but the commands seem limited.  I need full functionality.  

The stumbling block seems to be saving the file back to the original location easily.  Otherwise we may as well email files back and forth and overwrite files.  Very dangerous.

Does your remote user have AutoCAD on a PC?
is this remote user an employee?
Are you trying to figure out how to let your staff work from home, is this the actual issue you are having?

Yes they have Autocad on PC and are an employee.

You will need to hire an IT person to set up your PC to do what you want, first they need to configure you then they will need access to the other computers to complete the setup. This assumes your operating system (and theirs) are capable of such configurations.

Or you can purchase 3rd party remote-access software licenses for everyone (and yourself), like RemotePC, ConnectWise, TeamViewer or dozens of others out there, have your PC slow down while they tap it to work on files there, but get what you want.

Or you can set up a file server with VPN or RDP access, you all drop your files there, and everyone access files all day long: an IT specialist is what you need to set that all up for you (and they will need access to everyone's PC as well).
