File Open Dialog Box properties

When I had AutoCAD 2021 and earlier releases I would go to the 'start' tab and pick 'Open' and the Select File dialog box would pop up (as it should). I would then navigate to a dwg file and right-click, then select Properties and then check or uncheck the 'read only' attribute box as required.

In AutoCAD 2022 and 2023 if I try to do the same operation, the Properties dialog doesn't appear, instead I get an error message: "The properties for this item are not available." See screenshot below.

I have 2022 installed on another identical PC and it does not have this problem.

Any ideas?

What's the difference between the two platforms exactly? Something is, your IT person may know enough to replicate it for you.

The 2 PCs are identical spec. They have the same applications installed, with the exception that the problem PC also has AutoCAD LT 2022 installed as well as AutoCAD 2023. AutoCAD 2022 had the same issue.
I can open the properties of dwg files OK from within Windows 10 file explorer.
