File information not showing when hovering over file in windows explorer

Can someone help me with this irritating problem?

When I hover over any Autocad file in a windows explorer folder no information regarding size and date modified is shown.

However when I hover over the .bak file created this information is there?

The information is shown for all other files - pdf, jpgs, etc.

I had to re-install Civil 3D due to a corrupt installation and this problem has only come about since then.

I am loathe to re-install again if it is a simple solution!

Any suggestions welcome.

Interesting. Have you opened a DWG file then saved it since the reinstall, then tested only that one file?

FWIW PDFs and JPGs seem to be the only file type that do that over here, no MSOffice or DGN or DWG files, although I've rarely ever used that slow feature since File Manager is set to show DETAILS for me instead of static pictures.

Thanks for your fast reply.

It does it with all dwg files only. Every other file extension types are fine.

I uninstalled standard AutoCAD as my hard drive was getting full and I suspect a system file has been corrupted.

The problem is there is no repair function on Civil 3D 2024 - only a re-install.

I have re-installed Civil 3D several times but the problem persists.
