FCSTD (.FCStd) File Conversion DWG File

Hello Everyone,

I would like to convert a FCSTD (.FCStd) FreeCAD file to a DWG (.dwg) File. Any forthcoming information on how to do this and or what resources that I would need to use to do this would be appreciated. I've learned that it's not as simple as importing it into AutoCAD 2023 under Import - Other Formats into the current drawing. Thank you.

Do you have FreeCAD? If so, does it allow you to export to DXF (or even DWG)?

If not, can you either get FreeCAD or contact the author of the file and request an export to a format that AutoCAD can import (or open)?

just do a simple search on-line and you'll discover that it can export to dxf or dwg but only 2d:

@Fred.webberkingLLGCZ so you started IMPORT command and found your answer. Right?

So the next step is to just help yourself, FREECAD is free to use, as the name implies, and you can do the conversion yourself if you are unable to ask the file creator/sender to do it for you https://www.freecadweb.org/downloads.php
