Hi, I have an *RCP file 3kb, when operating the command "pointcloudattach" a fatal error pops up and autocad crashes.

my computer has:  Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.41 GHz processor, 16 gb RAM , window 10 pro. Any idea what the problem could be?

Many thanks

In AutoCAD enter About command, do a screenshot and post that in your reply

You misunderstood my reply.

In AutoCAD at the command prompt enter command: ABOUT

Do a screenshot of that window and post that here

You are missing the 2025.1.1 update: get it now, restart your PC after it is done installing. See if that helps.

Also share a screenshot of your GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up from inside your AutoCAD 2025 too please.

@carolinaP8MJ3 ,

Check your Windows 10 version is version 1809 or above, in addition to the other requirements.

Trial versions have no access to any updates.

Change to something else at #1 or turn off at #2

@carolinaP8MJ3 ,

Update the .NET Framework to a more current version.

Does your recap file open in recap ok?

3K seems small to me, though I generally work with larger recap sets.

yes in recap I can see it/ open it. Using recap I tried first just “save” command and it’s the 3K file. When I use the export command the file is huge but with both examples Cad crashes… so I don’t know…

Is the rcp on a network or on the local PC?
