Fatal Error Unhandled e0434352h Exception at fd64ao6dh

We have a drawing file that when we call up crashes with the Unhandled e0434352h Exception error.

We then try opening the drawing using Recover Drawing, and it finds no errors and comes up.

We then do an Audit and it finds and fixes 2 errors.

We then Save the file and close out of Autocad.

We then try to call up the saved drawing file, and it crashes again with the same Unhandled e0434352h Exception Error.

We have tried calling up this file on several different work stations, the file crashes on all of them.

So, the only way we can work on this file is to open it with the Recover File Option.

Anyone had a similar problem like this and figured out a solution so as not to have to Recover File everytime it needs to be worked on?

Hi,

I would try to open this dwg-file, thaw all layers and turn them on. Then run command _COPYBASE with basepoint 0,0,0

Create a new drawing, make sure the units matches, then run command _PASTECLIP.

If you can save and open that file well you can use e.g. designcenter to import the layouts from the "defect" drawing.

Thanks for the reply Alfred, but the Copybase to a new drawing file and save, then call up the new saved drawing file still gives us the Exception Error.

I was able to do a DXFOUT and then a DXFIN into a new drawing file and save , then call up the saved file without getting the Exception Error, but I'll have to figure out all the point groups and styles and everything else that is different about this file from the original, but this may be the way I'll have to go if I don't want to do a Recover File everytime I open the drawing.

I was hoping for a quick and easy fix to this issue that someone else may have already experienced and solved.  Just do not know what happened to this file that all the sudden it is acting this way.

well, it seems then to be dwg-file dependent, any chance you can upload the file so we can take a look into it?

Are you running any applications/plugins on top of AutoCAD?

Or go grab a freeware from the web like DRAFTSIGHT and see if your problem file will open there (then WBLOCK out or SAVEAS from that program).

I'm sorry to hear about the corrupt file. Both @Alfred.NESWADBA and @pendean have mentioned some reliable solutions for repairing drawing files. Two commands that have worked particularly well for me when troubleshooting corrupt files are WBLOCK and -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD.
