Extracting multiple volumes from single file

Hi there,

I have a file that contains multiple 3d solids, all on they own layers. I am trying to extract all of the volumes individually to a spreadsheet or text file. I could use MASSPROP on every single one but am trying to automate the process. The DATAEXTRACTION function does not seem to extract volume information from solids. The DATAEXTRACTION output would be perfect if it gave volume information. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

That would be a useful feature, I encourage you to submit the idea through the Product Feedback link for future consideration. In the mean time, there appear to be a few third party add-ons designed to extract object properties, one is noted in this thread:

Another great resource is the Autodesk App Store.
