EXTRACT CENTERLINES FROM SWEEP BODY

Guys,

Is there a way to "automatically" extract (recreate) centerlines out of pipe/tube like, sweep, solid bodies?
Good techniques or maybe scripts existing? Thanks

Try Searching the Customization Forum -- there may be some suggestions.  But in most situations I doubt it.  The entity data for 3D Solids is utterly inscrutable, with no way to extract useful geometric information from it.  In very limited circumstances it would be possible, for example, with a single pipe [no bends] that's orthogonally oriented, a routine could calculate the mid-line from its bounding box.  Or you might get a start by Exploding one [or a copy of it], because, for example, the end of a pipe would Explode to a Region that at least has a center point you can Osnap to.

Well, I have found this solution, but I'm not sure how to apply it...
Any ideas?

Not completely automatic, but this thread explained the process well. That process might be possible to automate.  I prefer to set delobj to 0 if I need to keep paths and profiles.
