Extend the face of a 3D object

Hey guys, brand new to the forums and still pretty new to ACAD. I'm experimenting in 3D and I'm trying to create a simple roof on a box. I have made a pyramid on top of the box and exploded it to get rid of the sides that will be in my way. I have another pyramid matched up to where I need to extend the first on to, but none of the extend commands will allow me to do anything but move what is now a triangle (but used to be the side of a pyramid). Essentially, I need to turn the triangle into a trapezoid. Can anyone help me out? Screenshot attached. I accidentally made the face on the right but that is what I want to do with the left selected face. I just can't remember how I did it.

Hi,

>> but none of the extend commands will allow me to do anything

Extend does not work on 3D-Face objects.

To modify 3D-Faces simply take the grips (blue markers on the corners) and stretch/move them.

When I try to use the grips, the whole face moves, it does not extend. This
is a non-issue now, acad crashed and I hadn't saved since I saw this issue.
I think I've found a different way to go about it.

Hi,

You can change the type of modification option you use with the selected grip(s) by pressing <SPACE> one or more times or using right-click while you have one or more grips selected.

Also take care about the current UCS and active or inactive ORTHO mode as these options might restrict the direction to stretch the vertex.
