Exporting to pdf not plots transperant hatch

Hi Masters!!!

I have imported two pdf files into autocad to find the clashes between them. I tried export it to PDF by print option, it gives tranparent hatch but it comes blur while zoom it to 100%, then I tried by Application menu >  Export > PDF, it gives good result while zooming but all hatches are comes solid fill. Please help me to convert this to pdf with transparent hatch and good quality.

Also I check Plot transparency option in page setup dialog box by opening the Page setup Manager in Output tab > Plot panel, though its plots solid fill.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

>> Please help me to convert this to pdf

The "this" is missing, can you upload the drawing + let us know which version and service pack of AutoCAD you are using?

Hi,

>> I'm using AutoCAD 2017 in newly purchased [...] and no service packs installed yet

Please start installing Update 1.1 first (to be found in your subscription center.

Then a question to your drawing: none of the layouts (as well as also not the modelspace) have a page-setup.

So what do you want to plot? It does not make sense when we now play with settings and later you mention that you need another scale, a title-block or something like that.

I have attached a PDF that I plotted to "AutoCAD PDF (High Quality Print).pc3", there I can't see any issues, but maybe I'm not looking to the same detail you do 😉

Hi @PrathapSekar,

I agree with Alfred that using Page Setups would make this much easier for you and give you control over the ExportPdf process. If you don't want to go through this step, then the next best alternative is to use Plot to create your PDF.

In the plot dialog you have the option to pick the appropriate PDF driver for the quality you need and also have other options such as Plot Styles, scale, transparency, etc.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

I was struggling with this. Checked the properties of the hatch and it wasn't 'solid' as I had thought but 'angle'.

Changed to 'solid' and printed to pdf fine.
