Exporting LIN and SHX.

Hello.

I received a drawing from a civil engineer with many complex custom linetypes.

I want to use some of them in my drawing, but when I copy/paste them the lines don't show right. I believe they don't show SHX shapes, because they are included in the original drawing only and they don't copy between drawings.

So, is there a way I could export a single custom linetype from an original drawing - a LIN file? If so, do I need to export SHX files independently or are they included inside LIN files?

I would like to make individual LIN files so I could put them over our network - so anyone could load them when they are needed. Same goes for SHX files, I guess... Excuse my confusion here :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

I already tried LINOUT.vlx, but it doesn't work on complex drawings(script errors). With simple drawings it works, but it creates a LIN file with all linetypes included.

Thanks!

You will need to ask the file creator for their shape files above all else. And if they share those, then can share their LIN files.

OR... you need to install and your C3D perhaps?

Both are not an option for us.

Shape files are unique, never generic. Something is going to have to give.

Why don't you start listing the names of the required SHX and LIN their files contain, maybe someone around here has those to share unless they are custom 3rd party require-payment type customizations.

They are custom made. Is there a way to export shapes (SHX) from a drawing that contains them?
As I said, I have the original drawing but can't copy them to a new one.
