Export Layout with single Veiwport to PDF A3 Full Bleed

I have made a drawing inside a 420 to 297 rectangle in model view, created a new layout with a single viewport selected to fit and set the page setup parameters as in page-setupt.png. The problem is, the rectangle does not fit perfectly in the layout as seen in layout.png and this shows when the layout gets exported in PDF. I know I am missing something rather simple but could not figure it out.

Hi,

it looks like your rectangle (your border drawn on the layout) does not match the ratio of the layout.

Can you upload the dwg-file?

Hi,

thank you for adding the file!

Now for me it's not clear any more what your question is. From your first post:

>> The problem is, the rectangle does not fit perfectly in the layout

Well, neither the viewport has a size of 420x297 as shown here:

20181105_114032.png

nor the viewport is set to have a scaling of 1:1 (as you want to plot a rectangle from the modelspace, which is 420x297 in 1:1 to the plotter/PDF)

Besides of that ... if the rectangle in the modelspace is drawn to have a border on the output I would create that border in the layout's paperspace!

Thank you Alfred, that solves it. I thought the height and width of the viewport were set to papersize when I selected the viewport to fit. Same with the scale when hitted extents.
