HI,

i think that Rhino can Import dwg files , and you have to prepare your Rhino empty file ( Units ) before you import CAD .dwg file . SO .dwg extension files can be opened from both software .

HI @joshb,

In addition to Imad's great help, I have included this link to McNeel's site that describes how to import DWG/DXF files.

Please come back to the thread and let us know how this worked for you.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Hi @joshb,

I am glad you got it to work.  The link I provided states (at the very bottom ) the formats it would like to pull into Rhino from AutoCAD (SAT and IGES). Or did the URL not take you anywhere?
