Exploding a Surface Components to lines ?

Hi ,

How can i explode asurface in autocad 2012 to lines ?

when i use explode tool with the surface its just disappear !!

Hi,

please upload the drawing instead of a screenshot.

So we see what object this is exactly and how layers (and other settings) are configured.

Maybe it's helpful to let us know why you want to explode 3D-geometry.

i working on physical model ( Maket ) so i need to make layers of wood for this small mount to cut it on laser machine , so it will be more easy for me if i explode the surface and convert it to cut lines rather than drawing it from beginning 😃
