Excel Formatting (HEAVY BORDER) Not showing up in Data Table

Hi Everyone,

First time posting! I have read through numerous posts and documents about the following problem but have not found a solution:

1) I want to insert an excel file using the "TABLE" format so that my excel file automatically updates

2) I want my HEAVY BORDERS in my excel file to come through into AutoCAD

      - Currently in all posts I found that it revers to the standard thin thickness of a standard excel file

3) I do not want to add borders in autocad

Thank you advance for all of your help!

After you import the Excel file into AutoCAD - what are the entities in AutoCAD?

It is an OLE object, or an AutocAD TABLE, or just a collection of lines and text?

I am inserting it as a table and then linking it to my excel file, not an OLE object and not paste special.

We aren't able to use paste special (Not because we don't want to, but because of a CAD protocol in our office).

They want us to insert as a TABLE.

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you attach one of your drawings with a sample table in it and also include the Excel file for me? I would like to take a look at this for you.

I like to create the tables in paperspace so I don't have to scale the Table.  I also like to set my display scaling to 100-125% which seems to help a bit as well.
