Im getting frustrated on this autocad behavior. I change color back to a lighter orange save the drawing and reopen only to find the color is back to 67. Its v dark and i have a hard time viewing the viewpoints. I have a feeling it has something to do with system variables.....

Any help is really appreciated

You have a startup added by someone (or a third party add-in) doing that for you. Ask around, ask your CAD Manager or IT person about it, or simply reinstall your AutoCAD and skip migrating anything from your old setup.
