Enumerated list from MTEXT paragraphs

I'm trying to convert legacy notes that are MTEXT paragraphs with a separate number text (1 thru 27 in this instance) in front of each paragraph. When I double click on the first paragraph, the Text Editor contextual tab appears where I can select Numbered from Bullets and Numbering and the first paragraph gets a  1.  in front of it. If I pick all of the paragraphs at once, I can't double click and get the Text Editor contextual tab, all I get is a properties dialog box with Mtext(27) as its header.

How can I get all of the paragraphs numbered in one operation?

Can you share screenshots of hat you see and are doing? We can't see your screen sadly.

Hi,

Select all the paragraphs and run the Express Tools command "txt2mtxt". It will combine all the single Mtext paragraphs into a single block of Mtext. You can then double click it and add the bullets and paragraph spacing if needed.

That is what I ended up doing, but with 27 entries it was a pain. Thanx
