Enable to plot in color from autocad

Not applicable

I am trying to plot a drawing but when I see print preview it shows monochrome, I have selected color plot styles (.ctb file also) but still I am unable to plot in color. Though when I convert dwg to pdf the file is converted in full color and when I plot pdf file from adobe reader all is good and perfect. but the plotting from autocad to plotter is always showing in monochrome. I have updated plotter driver also, and reinstalled autocad but still same problem arises

Are you talking about this preview area? This only shows the printing area and it will show red only if you are trying to print outside the print area. It will not show color here for any other reason,

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

This is all controlled by layers and the settings in your plot style table.

Learn about these and you will have control of this.

Now there can also be printer settings - to print in color or grayscale. So you might have a color PDF that prints in grayscale on a printer because of printer setings. Of course, not much choice there on a printer that isn't a color printer.

There can also be printer driver issues. But this is much less likely to be an issue these days.

If it isn't working for you, post the .dwg file and the ctb(s) you are using and I can look at them.

There are Youtube videos on this, but I have a bit of an urge to make my own video on this.

What I really like most of all is using the newer type .stb plot style table instead of the old .ctb file type. But nobody else I work with will use that, and I have to trade files back and forth with other people, so I'm stuck with the fossil .ctb file.

Kindly refer to pics attached.

picture "Post 1" shows the drawing in full color

picture "Post 2" shows the plotting menu, here kindly note the plot style is selected "none" so it should plot as the drawing is showed. Also, I have highlighted the "print preview" option.

picture "Post 3" shows the monochrome print preview

picture "Post 4"  shows the "DWG to PDF" option and here kindly note the plot style is still selected "none"

picture "Post 5" shows the colored print preview for the PDF file.

I have tried selecting different "Plot styles" and also checked the ".ctb files" but still no improvement

One would think that if you are having problems with the None plot style (Why someone would actually choose to use that is beyond me.), they would make a plot style that allows them to control the output.
