Elecom EX-G PRO Mapped mouse button giving wrong output

I have a Elecom EX-G PRO trackball, and I've mapped the delete key to one of the extra buttons.

It works fine in every other program, but in Autocad, it just outputs a "."  Anybody have any suggestions?

@Andrew.wendtWXD44

It could be any number of things such as the latest Elecom mouse driver. Or you can try the same command on a different button.

Does mouse manufacturer have an online FAQ page? Is there an Elecom User's Group? If there is, post your question there.

Any difference if you were to toggle the num lock key on/off?

What does AutoCAD do if you just tap the DELETE button on your keyboard? are you sure this is not the problem

Delete does not work in AutoCAD (autodesk.com)

Or is your mouse driver doing something more unique?

the keyboard delete key works fine, it's just the mapped mouse button. All of the other mapped keys work fine as well.  The mapped key works as a delete key in any other program, but in Autocad, it types a period instead of deleting things

@Andrew.wendtWXD44 You'll want to find out what that "command" in the driver is actually doing then, it may not be using the DEL keyboard option, then post back with more details.

Most of us with other mouse drivers that have DEL options are not facing this issue in AutoCAD or other software.

Out of curiosity, does the button work correctly when the Num Lock key is 'OFF"? If so they mapped the Delete function to the Delete key on the NumPad. This means when you use the delete function, you get '.' instead. I had the Original Evoluent Mouse and it originally worked great. Then they changed something, and when it happened, I called Evoluent support and that's what they said they did. In my case, I just ied a custom command of "ERASE+Enter" to my button. It doesn't work in text or attribute editors but I figure, I'd be typing anyways so I focused on the geometry and block deletion.
