effects of modelspace annotation scale not = 1

In our office, a few people want to set MSLTSCALE to 1.

Then you set the mosdelspace annotation scale to say, 40, and linetypes look good in the model tab.

But what other effects does changing that scale have?

Our office has never use annotative anything, so we have not slid down that rabbit hole yet.

I know blocks, text, and mleaders can be affected if annotative, but what other things likke c3d stuff?

I've used this method for years, just in straight up Autocad, and haven't found anything that is affected. Annotative items still get the different scales applied to them, etc.

do you mean nothing is affected because you do simple drawings and no civil3d items?

I would assume annotative items are affected, but am essentially testing if my list of annotative things is as complete as it will need to be for production with 100 designers in 10 different departments, all dealing with civil3d and files from outsiders.

I am structural and do not do any civil but we have annotative blocks, dimensions, dynamic blocks, etc. and have had no problems using them.
