Hey community!

I have a problem to solve which takes sleep out of my eyes.

Im working as site suveyor in stone benchtop industry.

My employer have asked to create an on-site template based on plans we recieve from contractor with editable fields to fill with real dimensions. Ideally mentioned template should be a PDF of kitchen layout (really simple plan). I was wandering if its possible to publish a PDF (or any other suitable format) document containing kitchen layout AND editable text fields where measurer could place dimensions. Purpose for that is to have a person going for measure just with tablet and file with layout ready and few editable fields to fill. Reduce number of errors and applies consistency.

I managed to create initial document as follows: published layout containing my title block and kitchen layout drawn. Secondly I have added text fields in Adobe Acrobat using basic form creator tool. File attachment in link below will probably give you better overview of what I am actually trying to achive.

My question is: Is it possible to achive that using Autocad only with attributes / fields.

You can't do this with only AutoCAD. Depending on amount of times you do it, there are ways to automate the process but that will still require Adobe or Adobe similar product and custom development work.
