Edit objects created with AeccLand130 in AutoCAD 2023

I've recieved a file that I think was created with AeccLand130 (or Civil 3D?) that I need to edit in AutoCAD 2023. When I open the file I get the dialog for proxy information. It says ojects were created with the application AeccLand130 with the product description "Civil 3D". There is also some object created with AccevBase130. I'm not sure if AeccLand and AccevBase is a part of Civil 3D, but I have neither. I am not interested in preserving the additional properties of the objects created in Civil 3D, so dumbing them down would be ok.

I have tried installing the object enabler for Civil 3D, but I don't notice any difference.

I have also tried the command AECTOACAD, but I have the same problem with the new file.

I have tried exporting the file in TrueView (I think it's a free version) with "exploded AEC objects", but the isue still seems to remian in the exported file.

I am new to AutoCAD and all the things I've tried is just what I've found in forums like this. I don't acctually understand how AutoCAD works and don't know what else to try.

(I've tried asking the people who sent the file to me, but they don't seem to want to help me.)

Those you got the Civil 3D drawing from could export it to AutoCAD as only Civil 3D can do it. It would look similar but all the intelligent objects would be gone. What you have with proxies is probably as good as you can do with just AutoCAD.

Would this delete the entire objects och just the additional Civil 3D properties? I want the objects to remain as they appear in AutoCAD, but I need to move them.

@simon_prober ask the C3D user to "export to autocad" those files for your use.
Or go grab a free trial of C3D nd for at least 30-days you can do the same yourself. Then after that you'll have to be brave enough to ask senders to convert the files for you.

Best wishes.

If you've already done AECTOACAD then the proxy objects you visibly see have already been downgraded to plain ACAD objects. Most likely the warning you're getting is related to C3D styles that are still in the DWG, but aren't visible. Use PURGEAECDATA to remove the remaining items and your DWG should become a plain ACAD.
