Hi,

have you seen the message on the bottom right corner:

20170413_034424.png

That means that the graphic card is not working well for AutoCAD. One chance is to disable the hardware acceleration (command _GRAPHICSCONFIG) or to find a better driver for the Intel GC (generally: an Intel GC is not the best for working with CAD systems).

Another chance could be to install service packs/updates for AutoCAD (which version and which service pack do you have installed? To be verified by command _ABOUT ... please show us a screenshot from that dialog).

Hi @Anonymous,

I agree with Alfred that your graphics card might not be suitable for all parts of working in AutoCAD. I suggest to turn off the hardware Acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG to see if that makes a difference.

I am facing this problem from past 6months, still not solved and also complained Microsoft , those checked my SP4 for any hardware issues, but not found anything and its working perfect,
Those recommended to complained about it with Autodesk support center,
Therefore please find me the solution to solve it,
Thank you sir.

Hi,

my first post included the suggestions

  • to disable hardware acceleration ... did you ever try that? I have not seen any response to that.
  • to update your AutoCAD, your screenshot tells us you are on SP1, your AutoCAD is not up-to-date, it should show "AutoCAD 2017 Update 1.1"

it's a bit hard to support if the suggestions are not read or you don't execute them.

Also from your screenshots ... your SurfacePro has 8GB memory, your graphiccard uses shared memory and has assigned 4GB, thinking about operating-system, installed services, ... your AutoCAD might be reduced to be using 1-2GB which can be too small. Also the disadvantage of shared memory is that all tasks done by the graphic card uses the same memory as your system itself does. While the gc has access to this memory the main processor can't, they are blocking each other ... therefor: my recommendation is to never use a graphic card with shared memory, when you are working with CAD-based software.

Hi @Anonymous

It appears that there might be a newer driver for your graphics card which might improve performance for you.
