Dynamic Text with Multiple Fields

Hi,

I am trying to create dynamic text which displays multiple properties for an object in one text box. For now I can go: insert field > Object > Select one property. Is there a way to display more then one property?

Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to Autodesk forums,

When You insert an field object, AutoCAD automatically places is within MText.

While You're in edit mode for the MText, simply hit CTRL+F shortcut or alternatively Right-Click within field and select "Insert Field" option to add another field within this Mtext. You can have multiple different fields within one text editing box.

Hope this answers Your question, but if You have more, or my answer wasn't accurate enough, feel free to ask further.

Kind Regards,
Pawel

Hi and Welcome to AutoDesk Forum,

>> I am trying to create dynamic text which displays multiple properties for an object in one text box. <<

you can use Fields to automate textual data within your drawings.every text have one option ability for Field mode.for that i suggest to make your needs in one Mtext box then link every text with the property you need.

Last question: With the fields, each one individually has to select the object. So if, two fields are referring to the same object, and I want them to point to a different object I have to select each field individually to update the object selection. Is there a way to simplify this process? My goal is to list a set of properties for a collection of arcs in one go without having to type all the information out. I might have to refer to the data extraction tool.
