.DXF Import Table Issue

Hello,

I have never come across this before however, when trying to import a .DXF file into AutoCAD 2019 I am getting the below error message.

"Table name missing on line 402.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded."

I have tried opening the file with a text editor, copying the data into excel and looking at line 402, however I don't really know what I am looking at. One thing that puzzles me is that the file can't be corrupt as on my gmail account it shows a preview replicating what I expected to see in AutoCAD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have searched through the forum trying to find an answer and tried the previously mentioned solutions of looking at the file in a text editor.

I cant upload the file here either for some reason.

"The attachment's su60 1a.dxf content type (application/x-dxf) does not match its file extension and has been removed."

Thanks

Jon

Was the DXF prepared using Autocad? If so, did you try to make a DXF again and see if the problem persists? You can upload the DXF file to wetransfer and then post the link here.

Hello Salmanul,

I am afraid I do not know the origin creator program. I thought all .DXF files were produced in AutoCAD. The files were sent to me so I did not produce them my self from .DWG master files.

I had referenced the post you linked to in trying to resolve the problem however I can not work out what the issue is on line 402.

Here is a link to the files I am having trouble with.

Thanks for your help.

Refer to this previous thread on this matter : invalid or incomplete DXF input - drawing discarded

If the DXF was made using a non-Autodesk product, then it need to be corrected in the source file

Jon,
I get same as you:
"Table name missing on line 402.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded."
QGIS will open your DXF files, and re-saving them makes them openable in AutoCAD.
