How do I dxb plot it like on the left?

Both are solid models...

Example1 says there is no external reference file.
I plotted it in a dxf file...

I think the situation got worse...

you will need to manually clean it up (as it appears you have done already). Sorry.

Before plotting to a DXB file, make these settings:

 

Set sysvar DISPSILH to 1
Set sysvar FACETRES to 10
Set viewport property Shade plot to "Legacy hidden"
