I am using the DWGCONVERT command to convert file from 2013 to 2007, and everytime I covert I receive error message that there was an unconverted file. I am using 2014. Also it alowed coversion if I converted to 2000 but not to 2007 format.
Hi,
>> I receive error message that there was an unconverted file
The conversion log you showed does not show an error, it says 1 file converted, 0 errors.
So what message do you get (uploading a screenshot might bring up clarification).

Im not exactly sure what it said, but it was in red and said error could not convert file, but gave no reason. So I saved the error convert log.
Hi,
then try it again ... or don't you get that message any more?

Ok so the error says "The file can not be converted due to a sharing or disk write problem." This is a file sent to me from an Architect using 2007. I have been receiving files from this client for the past two years and have never had a problem, is this something I should worry about? Thanks for your time.
Hi,

Not sure what you try to do with DWGCONVERT with that drawing, just open it and save it in the current format.
The message itself looks like you have the file open and try to overwrite it with the same name. If your DWGCONVERT-settings are configured to overwrite the original file then you can't have it open, start the command while you have just one emptry drawing open and select that file in the DWGCONVERT dialog ... is now the first guess.

I was using it to see if a file was opened by an educational product due to the architects intern opening and saving files with his educational copy and I decided to try it on a list of files and I came up with that error. And no the file was not open at the time of the command. I just wanted to know if this is a problem I should be concerned with.
Hi,

Try that with files that are new and stored on your local drive, e.g. in C:\TEMP (where you have full permissions).
If that results in the same problem then verify if you have the latest service pack installed.
What you can do additionally: login to your system with another Windows user and try it again, just to test the AutoCAD profile.
