DWG to PDF not honoring transparency setting

How do I get the AutoCAD PDF driver to plot with transparency? When I plot using “AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation).pc3” the PDF is identical whether I have “plot transparency” checked or not. The PC3 file is using the Heidi driver (see attached).  I created two PDFs with the AutoCAD driver. They are the same size and the one plotted with transparency on appears to be a vector PDF not a raster PDF. If I use a different PDF driver there is an obvious difference between a PDF created with or without plot transparency. I have tried plotting with and without transparency with eight different PDF drivers. All except the AutoCAD driver produce raster files when plot transparency is checked.

Post a screenshot of your PAGESETUP or PLOT commands, let's all have a look at your plot parameters and choices, plus a portion of your DWG file with transparency set as you desire.

I attached a screen shot of my page setup with transparency on.

I did another test plot with some hatches that had the transparency set to 50. As it turns out there is no problem here (see attached PDFs).

I was under the impression that a PDF created with transparency would be a raster PDF file. From what I can tell Autodesk figured out a way to plot transparency in a vector PDF.

Correct. There is no issue but thanks for the response.

I made the mistake of assuming transparency was not working because the PDF was not pixelized. As you can see from the attachment in my second post the transparency is working just fine.
