DWG to PDF grey edges around hatch shape

DWG to PDF grey edges around hatch shape

I've created various shapes in model space to contain a yellow to white gradient hatch. Once I finalise the hatch I delete the surrounding lines for aesthetic reasons. In model space and paper space there are no lines around these shapes. When I export to PDF on the PDF the edges of the hatched shapes show as grey but only on the non-orthogonal edges. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this with no luck. I'd really appreciate someones help. Hopefully the images I upload can help illustrate what I am trying to explain.

Export to PDF?? For better results print to PDF instead. You can use this printer:

You may also leave the hatch boundaries (you don’t have to delete them) but put those boundaries on a ‘special’ hatch layer. Make this specialized, dedicated layer use color 255, 255, 255 (white). If you use this layer correctly you won’t see the hatch boundary.

I second using the print to PDF option (I'd use the High Quality Print one), but you don't want to make your boundaries white (255,255,255) because it will be visible as it crosses non-white objects.  Instead, use the Layer Properties Manager to set the boundary layer to non-plotting/printing.  The hatches obviously need to be on a separate layer.

@ChicagoLooper @nrz13 thank you both for your suggestions. I kept the hatch bounderies on a seperate layer to the hatches and set it to 'don't plot' and used the plot to pdf rather than export but unfortunately it hasn't made a difference :(. These grey lines don't show on print preview from AutoCAD so I'm assuming its something to do with Adobe Acrobat rather than AutoCAD? Very frustrating!!

If you want to share your PDF file and/or DWG file, I can verify how it displays in Foxit PhantomPDF.
