DWG loading times for different scenarios

Hey all!

I had a question about DWG loading times. Here's two scenarios I'm working with.

Scenario 1:

You have a project file in AutoCAD that collates the drawings and you can open them one by one and each drawing is essentially a sheet.

Scenario 2:

You have a dwg file and have all the sheets in one file.

I believe I already know the answer, but would like confirmation.

Assuming we may even have project sets that may be 50+ pages and some that are not even more than 10+ pages Q: would there be an issue in load time for scenario 2?

I'm trying to create a template with title blocks in them so that we can have ready to go templates and would like to know the loading issues between the 2. It seems to me scenario 1 won't have much load, because they're all dwg's under 1 project. Meaning you can open them individually, but the only problem I foresee here is that you have to edit each dwg sheet for the info in the title blocks.

Sorry for the information dump, and thanks to all who are able to respond to my question!

This will depend on your drawing contain. if it is a layout or 3D kind of thing then it will take time on both the option.

In your case, I will go with scenario 2.

because it will be very easy to update the title block.

if AutoCAD takes much time to load in the above scenario. Then better use the model part as Xref.

this will reduce your file size and easy to update which are in the layout tab.

That's what I thought. It will strictly be 2D drawings, but a lot of them! I'll consult with my team and we'll close up the question when we come to a conclusion!
