DWG FILE FILTERING TO ADHERE TO A NEW SET OF DRAWINGS STANDARDS

Is there a way of isolating drawings objects, linetypes, test styles, layers names & block names to allow a streamlined alignment to a new drawing standard.  This work involves weeding thru a single dwg file, made up of  100+ dwg files with over 250k entities?

I have already used layer filtering to isolate & assign new layers to most entites but there are too may falling thru the cracks.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Hi,

You can't isolate linetypes or text styles or layer-names or block-names.

It sounds similar to what I have to avoid purging such items ... I create a block, with lines on the layers I don't want to be purged, with linetypes I don't want to be purged, creating text objects with text styles I don't want to be purged and insert the blocks inside my "nopurge" block, that should not be purged. If you have such a block you can use _WBLOCK to export all you need from the current dwg-file to create standards from that.

Is that what you are looking for?
