dwg file considered like a photo in Windows 10

Hi,

Yesterday my Windows made some updates. After that the dwg files are considered like photos by Windows.

The icon file is blank, and if I want to search a file it appears in the photo types. The good news is that is opening normally with AutoCAD.

Somebody knows what can I do that Windows to see .dwg files correctly, and not like photos?

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. This fix the problem with the blank icon file, but Windows still see the .dwg files like photos. I think that this will be fix at the next updates.

Can you please explain more about this: what is Windows doing exactly?

When I search a dwg file, under the file is written view photo. This is the only thing that is annoying, in rest everything is working normal.

Technically these are image files so im not sure id worry about it too much unless its not opening wiht the right program.

Im not sure about your version of windows but often there is an area to change file type associations. You can look in control panel (or its equivalent) for default programs and see if there is a file type association in there.
