dual monitor mouse not working

Laptop is primary monitor and as on the much larger screen 2nd monitor.

Problem.......the mouse does not work in autocad , when i start autocad and the first page shows the help videos (a hand) i can get the videos to come on but if i try to use the mouse to say file open etc nothing happens

Hi,

at least I have not heard yet that a mouse has to do anything with single or dual screen.

But if that is your issue, I would suggest to try another mouse PLUS another mouse driver.

It may be the arrangement of your primary, secondary monitor (right, left). You should be able to switch in Control Panel.

If they are not positioned properly the mouse "enters" one monitor from the opposite side.

No the monitors are set up correctly mouse moves from left to right. The mouse works in word or anything else perfectly. It's just Autocad where it has a problem and only if I try to open a file or choose a command.
