drawing map with kilometers units - what will be the plot scale on A3 paper ?

Hi
I am drawing a map with kilometers units - what should be the plot scale on A3 paper (mm to units)?

i need to plot the map in 1:20000 scale and the drawing is shrinking when i change to that scale. any help?

When you start command _UNITS, what do you see there as units for the drawing, is it really set to "Kilometer"?

If you upload your dwg-file we can look into your geometry and settings and so give valid suggestions instead of guessing what it might be.

an A3 sheet is 297,420 mm.

in paperspace you normally would plot with mm units.

since model is in km, you would need to scale (paperspace zoom) your paperspace viewport using the Zoom Scale Paperspace Option.

zoom: 1000000/20000xp

then you plot paperspace sheet at normal 1=1 (mm)

A diagonal line of about 9.5km is about all that will fit on a A3 sheet (going LL to TR).

if your drawing units is decimal ,and your input is 1:1 (1 unit in cad= 1 meter)

for plotting 1:20000 , in the plot scale 1:20 is the scale for plotting
