Drawing lines on consecutive point numbers with exclusion

I want to draw a line to let's say from point 1 to 100. However, I want to exclude a couple points in between that are in different layers.  let's say point 50, 45, 49, 96. 20,21, 89 Typing in the exclusion clause seems a bit difficult to do unless I am missing something.

I started with the line command followed by the point number command and inputted "1-100" I noticed it draws in the undesired points as expected. Then I selected the points I want to exclude and deleted them and I ran the workflow again. I noticed it works just fine with the skipped number and got pretty close to my desired results.

I am wondering if there is some sort of a workflow or trick that allows me to hide the points I want to exclude instead of deleting them for the purpose of drawing line through consecutive points

Did you use another drawing/cad program before AutoCAD? 1-100 does nothing in AutoCAD's LINE command, so I'm suspecting your terminology is from somewhere else.

Share your DWG file here too when you get a chance.

sorry I meant to post it in the civil 3d forum.

in civil 3d you can use line command and then use a "sub?" command of point number to make it connect points by point number
