AutoCAD 2020 randomly won't draw lines at distance that is given or extends to an existing line

How are you doing that? Explain the process in detail, not just the final result, lets see if we can replicate it.

Hello @Anonymous,

Is this happening on a newly created file? Can you share the file that is presenting this issue?

Try adjusting your graphic hardware setting type the command GRAPHICSCONFIG. Also, test the high quality geometry and Smooth line display off/on.

It was doing this on old or new drawings it was very random. I was checking different settings and checked my Drafting Settings / Dynamic Input Tab. I found that if I unchecked the "Enable Pointer Input" then things started working correctly which is kind of odd because my co-workers settings has that box checked... So I guess I found a "fix" for now anyways. I'll keep checking in on this post to see if there was a reason mine acted so weird.

Thank You all for your help!

I was trying to draw a line but if I was near another line it would extend to it instead of stopping at the distance I gave it... It was also doing this if I would grab the grip to extend a line and give it a number and it would randomly go a different distance... It was doing this on old or new drawings it was very random.
