double click multi text, the program doesn't get into the texts to allow me edit

when I double click a multi text to edit, nothing happens. I am not able to get into the text to edit it. what's wrong and how to fix? thanks

Hi,

can you use command _TEXTEDIT to get into edit-mode?

How are the system variables set: PICKFIRST as well as DBLCLKEDIT?

Does it help to start MTEXTED and set it to "."?
