Hi,

can anyone help me to understand why some 3D solids disappears or not show in AutoCAD 2013 version.

But when I open this attached file in newer versions (2014...2018), it looks fine.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I would be very grateful for any response.

Hi @praila,

I no longer have AutoCAD 2013 installed so this is hard to test. I don't see anything unique with the drawing however. Can you try to copy and paste into a new file to see if that makes any difference? You might also consider a Reset Settings to Default in AutoCAD 2013.

Hi John,

Thank you for trying help me. Yes I tried to copy >  paste in new drawing, also wblock and all other variations but unfortunately...

I'm working with 2017 version and could be that this solids I made with newer version and somehow affected visual drawing reading opening it with 2013 ?

I'm creating piping supports library and testing with fresh installed 2013 version and I found this "bug" in several modeled parts.

Maybe there is any way to open this drawing with Inventor Fusion and re-save it to DWG or step files?

Hi @praila,

I took the file into Inventor and also into Fusion. I have attached the exported files here for you to try in your AutoCAD 2013. Please post whether these make any difference.

wonderfull, it works!

Resume:

best converted files - FromIgestofusion.step, 350MA52_H150 v1.step (became same great solid elements)

medium - 350MA52_H150.iges (because all elements became surfaces)

worst - 350MA52_H150-Inventor_Layout1.dwg (because don't show any element)

John - thanks a lot for your patience!

Now I know the way how to correct those mysterious files. The only question as elements become invisible. I'll try to indicate this in the future.
