DIMSCALE paperspace problem

Hi, when i draw a new dimension in paperspace, then match properties from our dimtype, the dimension behaves itself. However, as soon as I try to move it, the dimscale freaks out. For example, a dimension showing 900mm with a dimscale for a 1:50 drawing (in properties it shows -50.00), once moved will change to 45000mm with dimscale in properties of 2500 instead of what i set it to of -50. I can't change this value any more either, its now fixed to 2500.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

(working in AutoCAD 2017 btw)

Hi,

can you please show the drawing (and in case there are too many dimensions mark the one you are referring to).

Your "dimtype" probably has a value set in "scale factor" (DIMLFAC).  Set DIMLFAC = 1 and update the dimensions.

But hey, that's just me.

Hi Alfred,

See the attached pics of whats going on. Please notice the Dim Scale Linear value changing, as its the only thing I can see that changes.

Let me know what you think.

Hi Randall,

Thanks, but that value seems to have been set to '1' already.
